04-14-07 - Strike spreads across Gaza Mountains of garbage piled up across Gaza yesterday and acrid smoke billowed from burning refuse bins as a municipal workers' strike over unpaid salaries spread to the territory's five biggest towns, in the widest sign of public dissatisfaction with the Palestinians' new coalition government.


04-14-07 - Palestinian cabinet approves security plan to end lawlessness Mustafa al-Barghouti, minister of information and spokesman of the cabinet, told reporters in Ramallah at the end of the meeting that the cabinet had approved the security plan, adding "the government will start implementing it soon."
