05-24-07 - Palestinian farmer killed by Israeli fire in Gaza Said Al Attar, 28, was killed after a tank on the Israeli side of the border opened fire toward a village near to the northern Gaza town of Jabaliya, medics said.

A Palestinian fisherman, Said El-Atar, was killed by fire from Israeli warships stationed in waters opposite the beach in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahia, according to Palestinian sources.
A note, on all three major British rags - Guardian, BBC and now the Independent - the injuries/deaths of Palestinian civilians at the hands of the IDF are now relegated to the bottom of the article, and are almost never headlined (JUST LIKE IN THE US).
