05-18-07 - Israeli army kills a Palestinian child near Bethlehem A group of Israeli soldiers attacked homes in the village of Beit Fajar, located to the south of Bethlehem city. During the attack, soldiers randomly opened fire on a group of children playing in front of their homes, critically injuring Ziad Takatka, 16. The boy was moved to Bethlehem public hospital, but later died from his wounds.


05-18-07 - Israel strikes Hamas in Gaza, threatens more action Two militants -- one from each side -- were killed, hospital officials said. A fisherman was also killed after being caught in crossfire. Hospital officials said two other civilians died from wounds sustained during internal clashes earlier this week.
