05-12-07 - A study: Israel controls 80% of Palestinian water, warning from catastrophic effects

05-12-07 - "It Takes an Enormous Amount of Courage to Speak the Truth When No One Else is Out There" The book argued, incidentally, that Palestine was a land without a people for people without a land. And Professor Finkelstein exposed it as a hoax, and he showed how dishonest the scholarship or spurious scholarship was in the entire book. And he paid the price for his courage, and he has been a marked man, in a sense, in America ever since

05-12-07 - ADL faults Putin on 'Third Reich' allusion Kremlin spokesmen would not clarify Putin's remarks, but Russian analysts said he was referring in part to Bush administration foreign policy. Israel's policies more closely demonstrate those of the Third Reich; lebensraumism, ghettoization, property seizure, supremacy, etc.

05-12-07 - Debaters debate stifling debate Debaters arguing that the pro-Israel lobby stifles debate won a debate at the Oxford Union. The debate took place in BRITAIN - where debate about Israel is much more open, AND coincidentally, Britain's Israel lobby is not nearly as powerful as America's. When I speak of the powerful Israel lobby, I speak of the one in AMERICA. Not sure how this was ever meant to involve that of Britain. Tis America's Israel lobby that guides our foreign policy to the detriment of all. Having this debate IN ANOTHER COUNTRY defeats the purpose.

05-12-07 - Letters, faxes, and e-mail The only American national figure to date to have the courage to speak the truth about the obstacles to peace in the Middle East is former President Jimmy Carter. In the final paragraphs of his book, "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid," Carter summarizes: "The bottom line is this: Peace will come to Israel and the Middle East only when the Israeli government is willing to comply with international law, with the Roadmap for Peace, with official American policy, with the wishes of a majority of its own citizens -- and honor its own previous commitments -- by accepting its legal borders.

05-12-07 - IDF probes 'incidents' with UN observers off Lebanon coast On Friday, a German spokesman confirmed a report from the Rheinische Post daily which stated several Israel Air Force fighter jets made an approach towards the German frigate Niedersachsen off the Lebanese coast on Wednesday. 05-12-07 - War Games in Beit Leed Imagine this: You live in Pennsylvania. Canada comes into your state and sets up these military installations throughout your state. These installations come in the forms of 25 foot high walls, trenches, fences, sniper towers. Then you have checkpoints, armed with Canadian soldiers. Many of them do not speak English but they speak French. And you have to explain to these Canadian soldiers why you want to cross from your Pennsylvanian neighborhood to the next Pennsylvanian neighborhood where your sick Pennsylvanian grandmother lives. Pennsylvania is hot in the summertime. We don't have to imagine such a scenario. We had one similar to it oh let's see, some 200 years ago. Say, whatever was the outcome of THAT situation?.....

05-12-07 - Rabbis protest joint Jewish-Arab event Rabbi Yehiel Hindi, who also takes part in the struggle, explained that the nature of the planned event violates halachic rules. "In the gathering there would be gentile cooking, drinking and dancing that might create friendships and marriages between the people? it is because of such events that we witness cases of assimilation in the country every day, cases in which Jewish women are seduced by Arabs, and bring miserable families into the world."

05-12-07 - Olmert's not a partner ** Mofaz will have a lot to talk about when he finally arrives in Washington, possibly at the end of the month: Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria........Simon Henderson of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy said this week that Cheney's visit is meant to help the Bush administration understand "how useful several of Washington's closest allies are prepared to be," especially regarding the developing struggle with Iran.

05-12-07 - Stand-off in Hamas saga thaws out The row over Intelligence Minister Ronnis Kasrils?s invitation to Ismail Haniyeh to visit South Africa now seems to revolve around which hat the Hamas leader should wear.

05-12-07 - Rattling the Cage: Bush and his good intentions ** I WANT to give Bush his due. There may have been other presidents who cared as deeply about Israel as he does - I'd put Bill Clinton, at least, in that category - but I don't think any president ever took sides with Israel against the rest of the world like Bush has done......And I only hope that this mutual reinforcement number that Bush and Israel have been playing stops short of a US attack on Iran. A lot of Israelis, maybe most, want Bush to do the job, and I imagine Bush is once again calculating the collateral benefit to Israel. As always, he has our best interests at heart. This notion that America is ordering Israel not to negotiate with Syria is utterly ridiculous. Not only was it denied by our officials(paragraph 3), but the case is almost always the other way around; Israel dictating to us its wants (and getting them).

05-12-07 - A Grittier Trip to the Holy Land Nova McGiffert, 24, an Austin, Texas, social worker who traveled on both Birthright and Birthright Unplugged last winter, says the latter drove home what she called the devastating results of an Israeli occupation. "During Unplugged, all of my nightmares came true about the realities of the situation," she says.
Most of the people that go there and actually SEE IT FOR THEMSELVES sing a tune different than that offered by the majority of our politicians and by the mainstream media. Americans, Jews included, are being deliberately deceived.
