06-14-07 - Flag symbolizes freedom That large rip on my right side is also bothering. That's where one of the rockets from Israeli jets ripped through me as I flew from the stern of the USS Liberty on a clear and sunny day. The attack was called a mistake; yet it is no mistake to say that planes coming to our aid from a nearby carrier were twice recalled. I, and those brave sailors, still await a congressional investigation.
