How reliable is Wikipedia?

A quote which hours before appeared on the page, was yanked because of user opinion.

That users can change definitions at will, is a testament to Wikipedia's authenticity - or rather, its lack thereof.

How can anyone possibly rely on it as any kind of factual website, if folks remove/change content at the drop of a hat?
