04-10-06 - Israeli shell kills girl in Gaza An Israeli artillery shell has killed a young Palestinian girl in a house in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian hospital and security sources have said. 04-10-06 - 'Unlawful killing' of Gaza Briton The jury said: "He was shot intentionally with the intention of killing him. James Miller, Rachel Corrie, and Tom Hurndall - all unarmed civilians - were each killed by the Israeli military within weeks of one another in 2003 in the same area in the Gaza (Rafah). At this time, this story is too hot to handle for the mainstream American media. Only the wire the UPI featured an article about it.

04-10-06 - Activist was unlawfully killed in Israel, says inquest jury On 11 April 2003, just hours after two Palestinian teenagers were shot and killed for no apparent reason, the activists were trying to set up a tent to block the Israeli tanks when shots rang out from a watchtower. A group of children playing nearby scattered, but three froze in fear. Mr Hurndall rescued a five-year-old boy before running back for two little girls. As he bent down to pick one up, he was hit in the head. He died days before his 21st birthday....It was only through the family's "harrowing struggle", he said, that the rare prosecution of the junior soldier had been achieved.
04-10-06 - Calls for UK to act over Britons shot dead in Gaza The attorney general was last night called on to seek war crimes charges against five Israeli officers after an inquest jury found that a soldier under their command intentionally killed a British peace activist in Gaza....Tom Hurndall, 22, died after being shot in broad daylight by an Israeli soldier who later said his commanders had issued orders allowing him to shoot even unarmed civilians. Our citizens (and/or their survivors) who have been killed or maimed by the IDF can only dream of getting such justice.

Men from Tuba reported that settlers had killed two of their goats....Settlers sprayed a Palestinian boy in the valley below Suseya with something (maybe pepper spray) so that he was unable to see....Two Israeli settlers (one wearing army uniform) beat the father of the boy who had been sprayed the previous day.

I made it clear, I'll make it clear again, that we will use military might to protect our ally."

Likewise, the IDF fired a missile into Abbas' compound days ago to 'send a message'. Then they killed a policeman yesterday and a child today, injuring many other children, also to 'send a message'. The message is: 'we are terrorists too', evidently.

04-10-06 - Israeli Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy President George W. Bush said a few days ago that, in connection with the supposed threat of Iran, his concern is to protect Israel. Critics ask why Israel should not protect itself. The same has been asked about Iraq. In this respect, the controversy over the Israeli lobby is potentially explosive. This is why denials, secrecy and efforts at intimidation are dangerous. David Levy is right when he says that Israel itself would be served "if the open and critical debate that takes place over here (in Israel) were exported over there," meaning the United States
