However, the deaf and mute farmer Fareed was arrested because he currently stands accused of agitating the Palestinian masses against Israel through shouting messages down a megaphone.

As Secretary Rice said in Ramallah on January 14, "Our desire is for the Palestinian people to be able to live in unity and democracy and in peace."
